Getting Impulses from Technology
With new technological tools, the textiles are evolving into dynamic, interactive elements that respond to movement, light, and touch. Computational design, digital fabrication, and smart materials are opening new paths for textile artefacts performing in puppetry, shadow theatre, and other theatrical arts.
In this section, we investigate how textile programmers, robotic artists, sculptors, and puppeteers are interweaving traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology for performing unexpected narratives.
