Listening to materials

This research emerged from learning to treat sound as a material that emerges from place, process, and matter. Rather than composing soundtracks for installations, I record the environments where materials are gathered, woven, and staged. Birdsong, wind, mechanical hums, sensor noise, and interference become part of the work’s sonic landscape, allowing materials to speak through vibration, resonance, and rhythm.
